# Verify GeoPard MCP Connection

Before working with the GeoPard MCP tool in Claude or ChatGPT, it’s important to confirm that the GeoPard MCP connector is active.

An active connection allows the system to request field data, retrieve dataset statistics, and generate accurate recommendations. If the connector is not enabled, workflows may fail or return incomplete results.

This guide explains how to check the connection status and activate GeoPard MCP if needed.
