# 1. Skifteregistrering
Sekvensdiagrammet for markregistrering skisserer prosessen for å registrere en ny markenhet i GeoPard.
Det første steget innebærer å opprette en gårdsentitet ([Forespørsel 1 eller R1](/geopard-tutorials/nor/api-dokumentasjon/oversikt-over-geopard-api-foresporsler/13.-mutasjon-opprett-en-gard.md)). En gård er en obligatorisk foreldre-enhet for marken, og den må opprettes før en mark kan registreres.
Etter opprettelsen av gårdsentiteten omfatter det andre steget registrering av marken ([Forespørsel 2 eller R2](/geopard-tutorials/nor/api-dokumentasjon/oversikt-over-geopard-api-foresporsler/14.-mutasjon-opprett-et-skifte-eller-rediger-grensen-til-det-eksisterende-skiftet-med-valgfrie-etike.md)). I dette steget oppgis obligatoriske parametere som UUID knyttet til gården og markens grense. Etiketter er valgfrie under registreringen, men kan også legges til.
