# QGIS: stringwaarden wijzigen in numerieke waarden in de shapefile

Converteer tekstattributen in QGIS naar numerieke waarden voor analyse en import.

In QGIS kunt u een tekenreeks omzetten naar een getal met het hulpmiddel "Veldcalculator". Open eerst de attributentabel van de laag die u wilt aanpassen. Klik vervolgens op de knop "Veldcalculator openen". Typ in het vak "Expressie" "to\_real(" gevolgd door de naam van het veld met de tekenreeks die u wilt omzetten, en sluit af met een haakje. Bijvoorbeeld: om een tekenreeksveld met de naam "string\_field" om te zetten naar een numeriek veld, voert u "to\_real("string\_field")" in het vak Expressie in. U kunt ook de naam van het uitvoerveld en het gegevenstype aanpassen door de juiste opties te selecteren. Klik ten slotte op "OK" om de omzetting te voltooien. Het oorspronkelijke tekenreeksveld blijft in de attributentabel staan, terwijl het nieuwe numerieke veld aan de tabel wordt toegevoegd.
